This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Services, including parents and legal guardians who use the App to manage their children’s devices, adult users who use the App for self-regulation, and visitors to our Website. 1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Data: Full name and email address when you create an account.
- Payment Data: Your subscription plan and transaction identifiers (but not payment card numbers, which are handled exclusively by the App Store or Google Play).
- Support Communications: Messages or attachments you send when contacting our support team.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and app version.
- Usage and Diagnostic Data: Log files, crash reports, and diagnostic data to help us identify and fix technical issues.
- Approximate Location: General geographic region derived from your IP address (country or city level only). We do not collect precise GPS location.
1.3 Information Related to VPN and Content Filtering
TheSafeGrid uses VPN technology solely to perform content filtering on your device. In connection with this functionality, we wish to make the following explicit disclosures:
- We do not log, store, or transmit the websites you visit, the URLs you access, or the content of your internet traffic.
- We do not log, store, or transmit the list of applications you use or the frequency of their use.
- Content filtering is performed locally on your device. Your browsing traffic is not routed through our servers.
- We do not sell, share, or disclose any browsing or usage data to third parties for advertising, analytics, or any other commercial purpose.
1.4 Information About Child Devices
When a Supervisor configures the App to manage a Child Device, we may process the following data in connection with that device:
- The blocking rules and schedules configured by the Supervisor (e.g., list of blocked websites or apps).
- Basic device identifiers necessary to link the Child Device to the Supervisor’s account.
We do not collect the child’s name, date of birth, email address, or any other personal information directly from the child. All account management is performed by the Supervisor.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Service Provision: To create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
- Synchronisation: To synchronise blocking rules and settings across devices linked to your account.
- Billing: To process subscription payments through the App Store or Google Play.
- Customer Support: To respond to your support requests and resolve technical issues.
- Service Improvement: To analyse aggregated, anonymised usage patterns to improve the App’s features and performance.
- Communications: To send you important notices about your account, subscription, or changes to our policies.
- Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable legal obligations, including GDPR and COPPA.

4.1 No Direct Collection from Children
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. The App is designed so that all account creation and management is performed exclusively by the parent or legal guardian (the “Supervisor”).
4.2 Parental Consent
If you are a Supervisor using the App to manage a Child Device, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child and that you consent to the limited processing of data from the Child Device as described in this Privacy Policy. In the EEA, for children under 16, this consent is required under Article 8 of the GDPR.
4.3 No Advertising to Children
We do not display targeted advertising to children, and we do not use any data from Child Devices for advertising or marketing purposes.
4.4 Contact Regarding Children’s Data
If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately at hello@thesafegrid.com. We will take prompt steps to delete such information from our systems.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:
5.1 Service Providers
We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Services (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, customer support tools). 5.2 App Store and Payment Processors
Subscription payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). These platforms operate under their own privacy policies. We receive only transaction confirmation data and do not have access to your payment card details.
5.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your data if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or the public.
5.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of the Company’s assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on the Website before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive or store your payment card information. We only receive a transaction confirmation to activate your subscription.
